Sunshine Angels is now Arizona Sunshine Angels

Arizona Sunshine Angels is a non-profit organization that was founded to support foster children living in group homes within the Valley of the Sun (Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area). Our mission is to make a lasting difference in the lives of these children by instilling self-esteem and showing them that they are loved and valued, and to provide them with a brighter tomorrow.

Did You Know?..

It is a sad fact that today there are approximately 14,000 children in foster care in Arizona. The Arizona Republic published these alarming statistics about the plight of foster children in Arizona from reports by the Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS):

• 330 children turn 18 and “age out” of the foster care system annually.

• 165 Homeless Kids… 50% of the children that ‘age out’ will become homeless within three months of leaving the system.
